On a somewhat windy Saturday, October 23rd, 2004, the membership of WCRC welcomed Scout Troop 28 from Hopewell to our field. The afternoon consisted of various talks about the Hobby and WCRC, as well as the chance to build delta dart rubber powered airplanes and take a turn at flying using a "buddy-box". Following are some photo's highlighting the event.

Club president, Nick Maggio acted as CD/MC. Here he is using the new wireless mike to talk about aspects of RC flying.
One of the main activities was building the AMA "Delta Darts". Tom Haake did some "behind the scenes" work by preparing the 25 building boards. This shot shows the cub scouts at work being assisted by club member Dave Vale in the blue & black jacket.
Member Chuck Taylor (dark vest and long reach) helping with the critical placement of the sticks.
Pete Swasay (foreground in plaid shirt) and Wayne Artfitch just to the right of Pete. Looks like everyone is sharing a light moment. Maybe someone just CA'ed themselves to the building board?
