WCRC-F/A Meeting minutes - February 22, 2007 -

 

·        Meeting called to order at 7:00 P. M.

·        Roll Call; 24 members present

·        Minutes of the January meeting were read and accepted

·        Treasurers Report was read; a review of the 2006 Budget was presented

·        The 2007 Budget was outlined

·        One guest was present; Frank Wozniak

·        Club Mail included our 2007 Club Charter package from AMA

·        Pete MacLellan has reworked the Club website extensively

·        A user group pull down has been added to the webpage

·        Pete MacLellan has the proof of concept wireless webcam link working

·        The Solar Cell/battery switching scheme is working well at the Field

·        NEW BUSINESS

·        A Girl Scout troop has requested a flying demo at the Field. They would like a training flying session for the purpose of earning an Aerospace Badge in the Spring

·        Warren Kruse passed away. He was an aerial photographer and had found our field site from the air.

·        The WRAMS trade show will be on February 23rd thru 26th in White Plains, NY

·        Dues renewal for 2008 will be done primarily by a mailing. Included will be a member status update form.

·        ACTION HOBBY is moving to a new location next to LOEW'S on Rt. 1 in Pennsylvania. Grand opening will be March 3, 2007.

·        The Park Superintendent e-mailed us asking if we would be interested in cooking at the Old Time Equipment show in the Fall. Nick will get more info.

·        Dave Trabert has 6, 12 Volt lead acid cells for sale and a 3D biplane

·        All-Season patches were handed out to eligible members

·        Solo pins were given out to our newest qualifying pilots

·        Tom Pfeffer was awarded a framed first Flight of 2007 Certificate

·        First flight of 2007 certificates were given out to eligible members

·        50/50 was won by John Kukon - $19.00

·        A video was shown on the new DX7, 7 Channel Spread Spectrum Radio System

·        Meeting ended at 8:45 P. M.
