WCRC Meeting Minutes - January 26,2006 -

 

·        Meeting called to order at 7:00 P. M.

·        Roll Call; 34 Members present

·        Minutes of the October Meeting were read

·        Treasurers report was presented

·        Club Mail: (1) Northern Connecticut R/C Club auction, Feb. 12, 2006; Vernon, CT (2) Lebanon Flea Market; March 11, 2006

·        Two guests were present; Muhamed Abdelaall, and Joseph Taylor

·        There were 28 members that attended our November Hamkey

·        Our December 6th Hamkey had 6 members flying models equipped with skis

·        Tom Speelman reported that Pete Maclellan has a new target plane for ZAGI Nite equipped with a brushless motor

·        Erik Dickersbach donated a radio to the Club for the target plane

·        Nick announced that there is indoor flying in Mt. Laurel and Lakehurst during the Winter months. Go to ecim.net for Lakehurst info

·        NEW BUSINESS:

·        All season flyer patches were presented to members that flew at least once per month during 2005

·        The Field grass damage during this Fall was probably caused by moles looking for grubs. A soil sample will be taken to the Mercer County Ag Center for analysis. Some spots may be re-seeded in the Spring

·        No-Fly times for the Winter have been posted on our website

·        Presentations for 2006 meetings: February-Mark Goresky; Spread Spectrum. March-Bill Kellermann; R/C CAD Model Design. April and May; Dean Pappas; Model trim and tweaking

·        Nick presented an idea of having a Field box and repair kit available in the tractor shed. He will make a list of what we have and what can be donated/purchased and e-mail it to the membership

·        Jon Radway reported on a visit from our field neighbor, Mr Blake. He let us know that we are good neighbors and cause no problems with our activity

·        A suggestion from Dave Brown, AMA President; Those receiving an R/C model for Christmas may want assistance in flying. An ad in the local newspaper or local Cable channel by a Club might be appropriate. Nick reported that the cost is prohibitive

·        Club Member renewal count thus far; 52 regular members, 5 Social, 7 Jr. members

·        Some tentative dates to remember; Library Show; June 16th, Work Party, April 2nd, Opening Day, June 24th, Picnic, September 17th

·        Robin Muhlstein asked if the Club would present a model demo for an emotionally challenged group from Trenton, perhaps in May, 2006

·        Loic Delame was voted into the Club as an active member.

·        The 50/50 was won by Kevin Eaton - $19.00

·        Meeting ended at 8:45 P. M.
