WCRC Meeting Minutes - March 29, 2007 -

 

·        Meeting called to order at 7:00 P. M.

·        Minutes of the February meeting were read and accepted

·        Roll Call; 23 members were present

·        Treasurers Report was presented

·        Nick and John Kukon will review end-of-2006 finances and decide on the value of a new CD to purchase

·        Two guests were present; Frank Wozniak and Travis Weber

·        Webcam link progress; Hot spot found at Field, Nick showed the camera and equipment used to set up a field camera. A bridge and access point is required. Proof of concept is progressing.

·        Ed Berchtold reported on the WRAMS show; fewer vendors, fewer modelers, and less selling, but an increase of "show items."

·        Lebanon flea market was reported on by Tom Haake; very well attended, lots of equipment was exchanged

·        ACTION HOBBY had their Grand Opening, and it appeared to be a success

·        Our annual Work Party at the field will be on April 28th. We need to do some painting and a few small jobs. Food will be provided. Gene Goroshko will donate a WAGNER power painter to the Club.

·        Girl Scout demo will be in mid May. The date still needs to be firmed up.

·        The Mercer County Club will give lectures on R/C at 2 Mercer County Library locations for anyone that signs up

·        NEW BUSINESS:

·        Our district VP, Dave Matthewson sent a letter announcing an AMA program they are starting to assign a CAP unit to a Charter club. The intent is to teach the Cadets to build and fly a model. Their model would be flown at the Club's field. A motion was made and seconded to discuss the partnership plan. Pros and cons were discussed. The motion was modified to pursue the program to the next level. The members approved unanimously.

·        The Park will have an awards ceremony at the Visitors Center on April 21st.

·        Our Opening Day Fun Fly will include a method of allowing a donation to the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen Charity

·        The lock on the Club gate has been replaced. The combination is unchanged.

·        One new member was voted into the Club; Frank Wozniak; the vote was unanimous

·        Ed Berchtold and Pete MacLellan presented a segment on registering and manipulating our Club Website. Two members registered during the session. Ed Berchtold reminder all members to register with their real names rather than a screen name so that all members know who is included in the list. Various techniques were presented regarding the forum. A film clip made by the webcam at the Field was shown.

·        The 50/50 was won by John Pruszkowski; $17.00

·        Meeting ended at 8:40 P. M.
