A Flight Over WCRC

The video was taken with the FlyCamOne2, http://www.hobby-lobby.com/video-camera.htm
in early May, 2008. I mounted it, forward-looking, on my
Wingo and took off with the intention of finding the Delaware River,
which is about 1/2 mile from our field. This was about the
fifth
attempt. The other attempts were either too shaky, or had too
much glare from the sun, and occasionally the camera simply failed to
record anything.
It is basically a pretty boring video. I
took off from
the field; you can see the weather station at the end of
the field, the house across the road from our field, and briefly, our
flight line. I took the Wingo up until it was just a dot in
the
sky, as high and as far towards the river as I could manage.
At
some point, I shut off the motor in order to get an image with fewer
jiggles. There was a bit of a headwind, so the Wingo
basically
remained in one place but slowly lost altitude. Eventually I
turned back towards the field, still with the motor off. As I
approach the field you can see several other models in the air,
including John Galbraith's glider. At the very end I fly over
Tom
Speelman, who is standing at the far left side of the field, flying his
Trex 400.
